The Marketing Department currently markets approximately 180,000 tonnes of grain,
oilseeds and pulses via a range of marketing schemes to suit every individual farmer’s
requirements. A dedicated team of five staff work on Members behalf to negotiate the
best prices for their grain.
Our professional grain-marketing department is fully accredited under the
AIC Trade Assurance Scheme for combinable Crops (TASCC).
Pool Marketing

AtlasFram Group has 50% of its grain committed to one of its various pools schemes.
With fewer, larger buyers controlling an increasingly
volatile market our pools offer reduced risk with added benefits whilst consistently
out performing independent ex-farm averages.
The Benefits

- Credit insurance cover (90%) on all sales
- Final price out performs average independent reference levels
- Access to advance payments with low interest charges (currently 1% over base)

Cereal pools are divided into four movement periods:
Break crops are divided as follows:
Croptrade

A conventional ‘ex-farm’ trading service for uncommitted grain with full access to
AtlasFram Group facilities. All sales are covered by credit insurance and members
receive regular market reports by fax or email.

Scheme Details

Scheme 1
Harvest/September Cereals Pool (All Cereals)
Designed for quick movement during the Harvest period.
No advance payments but 90% of estimated final value of pool paid
28 days from end of the week of delivery. Final payment within 28 days
of pool completion
Scheme 2
October-November-December Cereals Pool (All Cereals)
Advance payments available of up to 75% of estimated tonnage value
(determined by the Society in August), payable in minimum 25% increments
on selected dates (28th September, 28th October and 28th November). Final payment will be
made by 15th February.
Scheme 3
January-February-March Cereals Pool (All Cereals)
Advance payments available of up to 75% of estimated tonnage value
(determined by the Society in August), payable in minimum 25% increments
on selected dates (28th September, 28th October, 28th November, 28th January and 28th February).
Final payment will be made by 15th May.
Scheme 4
April-May-June Cereals Pool (All Cereals)
Advance payment available of up to 75% of estimated tonnage value (determined
by the Society in August), payable in minimum 25% increments on selected
dates (28th September, 28th October, 28th November, 28th January and 28th February).
Final payment will be made by 15th August.
Scheme 5
September to December Break Crop Pool (Commercial/Energy/Setaside, Oilseed Rape)
Harvest storage or conditioning available as required. Advance payments
available of up to 75% of estimated tonnage value (determined by the Society
in August), payable in minimum 25% increments on selected dates.
Scheme 6
January to April Break Crop Pool (Commercial, Oilseed Rape)
Harvest storage or conditioning available as required. Advance payments
available of up to 75% of estimated tonnage value (determined by the Society
in August), payable in minimum 25% increments on selected dates.
Scheme 7
September to April Break Crop Pool (Pulses)
Harvest storage or conditioning available as required. Advance payments
available of up to 75% of estimated tonnage value (determined by the Society
in August), payable in minimum 25% increments on selected dates.
Additionally please note:

- All Pool Schemes are marketed by the Society on behalf of Pool members.
- All payments are made via BACS direct to your account and statements will be sent direct to you.
- All Pool Schemes have the average cost of haulage deducted.
- On receipt of forms copies will be returned for your own retention.
- Marketing charges are deducted at time of final payment in all Schemes.
- Pooled grain does not lose its identity any premiums / deductions will be applied to individual members grain.
- All produce marketed through the Society has Credit Insurance, laboratory analysis, sample collection and market information provided.
