An excellent and unique opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute Financial Controller to work in close conjunction with the Board and CEO taking responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy and provision of financial analysis and advice to the CEO.
The AtlasFram Group has an annual turnover in excess of £190 million and is one of the UK’s largest farmer-owned input purchasing and crop marketing Cooperative Groups for professional arable and livestock farmers. We exist solely to serve and represent our significant Membership base, our goal being to provide them with an unequalled service, together with the very best value for money for the purchasing and crop marketing activities which we undertake on their behalf.
You will be responsible for a variety of activities including:
•Managing a team of 13 accounts / admin staff.
•Contributing fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision making as appropriate.
•Leading and managing the budgeting process, formulating annual budgets and targets in conjunction with the CEO.
•Ensuring that company financial systems are robust, compliant and suitable to support current business activities and future growth.
•Developing Management Information Systems to turn data into knowledge for the benefit of the business.
•Insurance / Risk Management.
•The overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems.
•Company Secretarial responsibilities.
•Facilitating the work of external auditors by producing accurate year – end accounts to an agreed timetable as well as effective audit trials.
To be considered for this position you will have gained an advanced knowledge of IT / Finance systems and procedures coupled with excellent commercial and business experience. You will be a strong, insightful team manager with the ability to assimilate data and turn it into knowledge and possess a high degree of integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
